FAQs: What is Magnetic Field Therapy?

High-Powered Pulsed Electromagnetic Field (PEMF) is like a safe, gentle battery charger for the cells.

About PEMF: FAQ

What is PEMF?

Pulsed Electromagnetic Field (PEMF) therapy improves a user's range of motion, increases energy, reduces pain and accelerates healing from injury and inflammation. Clients often feel better after just 15 minutes of treatment. Initial improvements last from 4 hours to 4 days as the healing process begins.  Repeat use extends the benefit period, reducing or reversing chronic health issues significantly. It helps the natural body healing processes by delivering a non–invasive form of repetitive stimulation that HAS NO ADVERSE EFFECTS.

How does PEMF therapy work?

PEMF increases blood circulation in and around damaged tissue, helping cells heal by bringing in more oxygen. It also stimulates cellular metabolism activity by increasing Thymidine Monophosphate (TMP), a vital binding unit in the formation of DNA, and flow of ions across the cell membrane, growth factors, tissue repair and healing. PEMF therapy has been proven effective with diverse medical needs and conditions and is known to leave users feeling relaxed, energized and renewed.

What can PEMF do?

PEMF positively affects biologic processes so that cells function better and tissues regenerate more efficiently. Clinical evidence shows that PEMF therapy reduces pain associated with trauma from accidents, sports injuries, surgeries and burns as well as from disease and degeneration. It improves these conditions through the stimulations of mechanical, chemical, electrical and magnetic processes within the cells of the body. Research studies have determined it:

  • stimulates cellular metabolism

  • circulates blood and fluids

  • improves immune system response

  • detoxifies vital organs (i.e. liver, kidneys, colon)

  • increases bone density and formation

  • accelerates recovery from a wide range of conditions including fractures, surgery, heart attack, stroke, tendonitis, osteoarthritis, incontinence, and degenerative neurological conditions like multiple sclerosis

Describe a PEMF session

The PEMF device, with coils that generate the magnetic pulse, is placed on various areas of the body for a timed duration at each placement. It does not hurt, but rather can be quite relaxing. The intensity of the magnetic wave stimulation can be adjusted up or down to each individual's comfort level. Depending on an individual's needs, one treatment will take approximately one hour.
